Congratulations to Claire Canario for receiving the "Karen Lucas Band Award" and Moriah Pilet for receiving the "Godfrey Brown Choral Award". These awards, given by the Music Boosters of Geneva, recognize seniors who were participating members of the high school band or the high school choir program that demonstrated a positive attitude and strong work ethic while expressing their support for the conductor and fellow students while also demonstrating a joy for music by their involvement in musical opportunities in both school and community. Best wishes to you both!
When was the last time you played that trumpet? Did your New Year’s Resolution to learn the clarinet fall flat? Did your kids head off to college leaving their beloved saxophone behind? Every year, more and more kids begin their musical education through the amazing band programs offered by the Geneva City School District, but the supply of instruments is limited. Some families are able to rent instruments, but to keep music education accessible for everyone, the school supplies instruments to many children. Can you help by donating the instruments you no longer use? We are looking for good quality, gently used:

This year's hybrid schedule prevents the GHS Varsity Singers from rehearsing together at school. So an extra rehearsal that all could attend was held at the The Cracker Factory where there is a much bigger space that allows for social distancing. Music Boosters is in the process of purchasing singer's masks for Mr. Craig's choristers.
The Music Boosters of Geneva purchased items to help facilitate music classes during the Covid pandemic.
Many thanks to GHS Choral Director, Matt Craig, who had the vision for the Geneva City Singers Virtual Choir!
